✦About

Climate Scientist and investor at Third Sphere, focused on early stage climate tech. Building out Cap Stack Compass to be an open collaborative tool that raises the floor on non-dilutive funding access. Am drawn to near sci-fi solutions that benefit the world we live in without relying on altruism, policy, or decade-long science de-risking timelines. Lately been thinking about climate as one manifestation of the larger metacrisis in coordination, and believe in viewing our ecosystem as part of ourselves — that human health includes planetary health and vice versa.

Currently designing things for the bit, thinking about social containers and how they shape communities / personal exploration, and drinking oodles of tea. Latest rabbit holes: ocean CDR options, regenerative land, and fermentation.

Page below is just a running index of snippets updated when I remember it exists.

Breaking Down Ocean CDR

Visual explainer · Ocean carbon chemistry

Just re-teaching myself the basics.. and sharing it incase others are interested. Covers how every marine carbon-removal scheme is a bet on one ratio (alkalinity versus dissolved carbon), coccolithophores, enhanced rock weathering, ocean alkalinity enhancement, the biological pump, and some of the basic carbon maths.

Questioning our Yield Gap: Agroforestry's Potential within American Agriculture

Essay · Environmental research

Argues that the perceived "yield gap" of regenerative methods is mismeasured, and that agroforestry and perennial polycultures can close it while sequestering carbon and building resilience across the American agriculture industry. A follow-on to Learning to Let Nature Do the Work.

Learning to Let Nature Do the Work

A Review of Permaculture's Potential within American Agriculture · Essay

An introduction to permaculture as a design system — sheet mulching, hugelkultur and keyline farming, perennial polycultures and guilds — and a case for working with natural succession rather than against it.

Analyzing Planktonic Foraminifera as a Proxy for Past Sea Surface Temperature

Yale senior project · Paleoclimate · with Pincelli Hull & Robin Canavan

A statistical analysis testing whether bulk, mixed-species foraminifera samples can yield reliable clumped-isotope (∆₄₇) sea-surface temperatures — making paleoclimate reconstruction cheaper and more replicable.
